Welcome to the Crypto Lounge.
CryptoLounge.org is inspired by the various cryptography-related Lounges on the web, and David Hopwood's SCAN. It is a Semantic Wiki dedeciated to (eventually) providing a comprehensive reference source for cryptologist and crypto engineers.
By using the MediaWiki software with the Semantic MediaWiki extension, all of the information on this site is available in a machine readable as well as human readable form. This is used to reduce redundancy so that any piece of information only needs to exist in one place. It is then re-produced as query results where needed. For example all of the algorithms designed by a person is automatically listed on his or her page. The list is produced from relevant relation information entered on algorithm pages and paper pages. The system deduces that a person is the designer of an algorithm from the fact that he or she wrote the paper that proposed the algorithm.
In the future it will also be possible to create more advanced queries. Here are some examples to get you excited.
Note that everything here is done with templates. The easiest way to create a new wiki entry is to copy the code from an existing entry in the same category and then make changes. (Use "edit" on the entry you want to copy from to view its code.) Please do not modify the templates themselves (entries that start with "Template:") unless you know what your are doing!
